A humanitarian professional at present, Daniel Mahbub is currently working as an Administrative and Information Management Assistant at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), part of the largest humanitarian movement in the world.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Mahbub joined BRAC University in January 2020 as the Administrative, Research and Teaching Assistant to Professor Dr. Sang H. Lee, the Dean of BRAC Business School. Having been assigned to take lead in setting up the foundations of the BBS Research and Professional Development Centers (RPDCs) under the supervision of Professor Lee, he contributed towards laying the initial foundation of the centers, managing a team of four, until the end of 2020. Prior to working for the Business School, Mr. Mahbub worked for MGH Group as a Management Trainee for a brief period, shortly after completing his internship at Banglalink Digital Communications Ltd. as a Digital Products Intern. Mr. Daniel Mahbub, a Finance and Supply Chain Management major, completed his Bachelor’s in Business Administration from BRAC University back in 2019, being among the highest distinction awardees.
Mr. Mahbub is particularly interested in how the modern technological changes might have an impact on the industries, the financial industry to be specific. Hence, his research interests include contemporary topics such as Blockchain, Financial and Business Technology, Business Analytics, etc. through which he seeks to work on improving the market efficiency from a local context.
